Magical Stays reservation change & cancellation policy
Since June 30, 2025 we’ve introduced simple, flexible policies for reservation changes and cancellations, so you can book your trip with confidence.
All reservations are governed by the Magical Stays rental agreement that you signed at the time of making the reservation.
RESERVATIONS MADE AFTER JUNE 30, 2025
For reservations booked after June 30, 2025, you can cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, unless the check-in date is 48 hours or less before arrival, in which case there will be no refund.
For reservations of less than 30 nights
If your check-in date is more than 60 days away or more, you can cancel and receive a full refund in your original form of payment. minus a 6% booking fee including associated taxes.
If you cancel 60 days or less prior to arrival, we shall be entitled to retain all payments already made and to recover, if not already paid, the balance of the rental charge.
Need to reschedule your trip? No problem — you can change your reservation dates for a small fee and subject to the terms set out below.
However, please note that any changes to existing reservations will be subject to availability and any rate differences.
For reservations of 30 nights or greater
A 20% deposit is required at the time of making the reservation.
The full balance of the reservation is due 90 days prior to arrival.
For cancellation requests received between the time of reservation and before 90 days prior to arrival, you will receive full refund minus the reservation deposit.
For cancellation requests received 90 days or less prior to arrival, Magical Stays will retain all payments already made and recover, if not already paid, the balance due of the rental charge.
Cancellation of third party bookings
Reservations made on third-party channels (such as Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com) will need to be cancelled on the site where the reservation originated and may be subject to that channel’s terms and conditions. Please check the site where you originally booked your trip for the reservation policy.
Travel Insurance
We encourage you to purchase Travel Insurance to cover your losses if you have to cancel due to an event beyond your control. Unfortunately, Magical Stays cannot refund money for cancellations within 60 days prior to arrival for any reason.
RESERVATIONS MADE BEFORE JUNE 30, 2025
For reservations of less than 30 nights
If your check-in date is at least 15 days away or more, all rental payments (less the booking fee) are fully refundable.
If you cancel 14 days or less prior to arrival, we shall be entitled to retain all payments already made (except the Security Deposit if any) and to recover, if not already paid, the balance of the rental charge.
For reservations of 30 nights or greater
A 10% deposit is required at the time of making the reservation.
The full balance of the reservation is due 60 days prior to arrival.
For cancellation requests received between the time of reservation and before 60 days prior to arrival, you will receive full refund minus the reservation deposit.
For cancellation requests received 60 days or less prior to arrival, Magical Stays will retain all payments already made (except the Security Deposit) and recover, if not already paid, the balance due of the rental charge.
Please ensure that you have Travel Insurance to cover your losses if you have to cancel due to an event beyond your control. Unfortunately, Magical Stays cannot refund money for cancellations within 60 days prior to arrival for any reason.
FOR RESERVATIONS MADE BEFORE MARCH 19, 2020
For cancellation requests received between the time of reservation and before 60 days prior to arrival, you will receive full refund minus reservation deposit.
For cancellations requests received 60 days or less prior to arrival, Magical Stays will retain all payments already made (except the Security Deposit) and recover, if not already paid, the balance due of the rental charge.
